Sorry for the long delay in responding to you.
The move back into my home in Portland went very smoothly. I especially appreciated the lead on the team, Seth.
I will mention that there was apparently a leak in the container and some water did get on a couple of my items:
1. There was dampness and discoloration on the leather seat of a dining room chair. It has now disappeared
2. There was warping on the paper backing of a very large framed photograph. The paper has straightened out over time and it is fine.
Seth mentioned the leak to me and had taken pictures of the container before unloading it in case I needed to follow up with you or the insurance company.
I was really happy with this moving company.

I hope all is well there and you had a great Christmas with family and friends.
I apologize for not getting back to you earlier but have been caught up in the preparations for the season.
All went great in the move and we are very happy with the experience on both ends. All of our furniture arrived with only minor damage to one small desk but everything else made it over in perfect condition. We did lose 5 sofa supports for the main sofa which I think might have been hidden in some of the wrapping and was inadvertently thrown away with the packaging but I have sourced similar replacements locally so I should be able to make them fit with no problems.
Overall though we are extremely happy and impressed with the service and smoothness of the move. We certainly would not hesitate to recommend Rainier, yourself and Debra to anyone we hear of moving and would definitely utilize your services again if needed in the future.
Thank you again for following up and for all of your assistance throughout the move.

Your team just left after spending three days with us and I have to tell you, they were absolutely fantastic!
Bruce and Barb were incredible, packing and organizing everything. They made very hard work look easy. Their friendly demeanors and laid back styles were great with such a big move going on.
Brandon, Rick, Eric, Mike and Kevin were also fabulous. They were kind, efficient and very professional. We felt very comfortable with every one of them in our home. Kevin packed the container with unbelievable precision and was able to get everything inside. Again, it was hard work but he made it look easy. Just amazing. Not to mention it’s 17 degrees outside and snowing!
I am very grateful and impressed with these folks. Thank you for getting us hooked up with them and for taking good care of our belongings.

Just an short update on our status.
– You did a great job getting our container safely to New Zealand. All of our worries on our shipment were eased.
– The container was held up in Auckland for about 17 days while they conducted custom and fumigation processes.
– The Moving Company delivered us our household goods to our home on November 16 – so we have been extremely busy unpacking and setting up our home here in New Zealand.
To date, not one dish or plate or breakable item has been damaged. We have incurred some damage to some pieces of our furniture.
We are taking this furniture damage up with our insurance carrier State Farm. Considering the miles our household possessions traveled in one container, we are very relieved that everything went so well and we want to thank you and Rainier Overseas Movers for doing such a great job.
Pete, we personally want to thank you for being a great agent to work with and for calming our fears with the many phone calls we made to you for this huge transition in our lives. We know we are going to love living in New Zealand. It is a beautiful country and we have a lot of family here.
We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest New Year to come.
Thanks again for doing such a great job moving our household from Kansas City to Cambridge New Zealand.

We were going to drop you a note yesterday, but time got away.
Everything went great! Our meeting in Haifa last week with the Sonigo rep there was quick and easy, and the arrangements this week for our delivery were also easy. They had told us one-two weeks, so we were pleasantly surprised that it was only one week! The very friendly and professional team of three cracked open the seal on the crate in our presence, and brought everything into the house and put things where we asked. They did it all in under 45 minutes – which was amazing considering we were their last of four stops on a very long day for them. They were great.
The crate arrived totally unscathed, and everything inside was in great shape, which is a tribute to Eric’s team in Madison, who were also good to work with. I haven’t fired up the sewing machines yet, but they were shipped in their original boxes/packaging so I can’t imagine anything will be wrong.
Ido has been really impressed by the whole process – apparently such professional, prompt, well-communicated service has not necessarily been the Israeli “norm” over the course of his 50-some years here. He was waiting for one last additional bill, one hurdle, one delay… and there were none. So you have totally won his admiration, I must say.
I am so appreciative of your prompt communication style, and the amazing comprehensive booklet about moving to Israel (also in Hebrew, if we would have wanted it!!?!) that you developed and provided. Half the stress of moving is wondering if you have thought of everything, and what’s going to happen next, and your very informative booklet was wonderful in allaying many jitters.
So, thank you thank you thank you! And look for us to hire you again in a couple years when Ido can retire and we hope to move stateside.

I am extremely pleased with how my shipment from Colorado To Korea turned out. The guys from Denver (Amazing Moves) packed my HHG and car back in early August and did an exceptional job. Samuel Evarts of Tong-In tracked my shipment, stayed in constant contact with me and kept all my paperwork in order. I received my car and HHG yesterday (28 Sept). I had no damage at all to my car, not even a rub mark. The car arrived in great condition as did my HHG. The Tong-In crew unpacked our HHG and were very professional. They covered all the hardwood floors and were careful not to scratch or damage anything.
If I had to do this all over again I would still pick Rainier, Amazing Moves and Tong-In. My only regret is not shipping sooner. The three companies involved were all outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone who is moving overseas.
