Subject: Heathcock arrival in New Zealand
Just an short update on our status.
– You did a great job getting our container safely to New Zealand. All of our worries on our shipment were eased.
– The container was held up in Auckland for about 17 days while they conducted custom and fumigation processes.
– The Moving Company delivered us our household goods to our home on November 16 – so we have been extremely busy unpacking and setting up our home here in New Zealand.
To date, not one dish or plate or breakable item has been damaged. We have incurred some damage to some pieces of our furniture.
We are taking this furniture damage up with our insurance carrier State Farm. Considering the miles our household possessions traveled in one container, we are very relieved that everything went so well and we want to thank you and Rainier Overseas Movers for doing such a great job.
Pete, we personally want to thank you for being a great agent to work with and for calming our fears with the many phone calls we made to you for this huge transition in our lives. We know we are going to love living in New Zealand. It is a beautiful country and we have a lot of family here.
We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest New Year to come.
Thanks again for doing such a great job moving our household from Kansas City to Cambridge New Zealand.
