Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco
Customs Regulations: Only the normal duty free allowance applies.
Required Documents: Diplomatic Franchise must be obtained by Embassy through the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a minimum of 15 days before shipment arrival. Owner must be in country at least one week before arrival of shipment.
Firearms and Weapons
Required Documents: Up to a caliber of 7.62 mm requires special permit from the police.
Remarks: Should be packed separately and identified.
Household Goods and Personal Effects
Required Documents: 1) ‘Certificado de Bagagem’ issued by Portuguese Consulate. (2) Comprehensive inventory in Portuguese, stating that all items are used and have been in possession of the owner for more than 6 months. (3) Original passport. (4) Declaration as per EEC regulations. (5) Residence Certificate
Customs Regulations: T.V. sets must be registered at local Port Office for License Control and details such as type, make, serial number, etc. must be indicated on inventory.
Remarks: Owner must be in country at least one week prior to arrival of shipment.
