Remarks: To be declared as ‘rest of bar’ on inventory and be easily accessible.
Required Documents: (1) Spanish inventory legalized by Consulate at origin. Original OBL/AWB, visaed (2) Certificate of residence issued by Consulate at origin stating that shipper has lived abroad for at least two years. Franchise must be obtained from Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the diplomatic mission or the foreign official organization shipper belongs to.
Firearms and Weapons
Required Documents: Permit from Ministry of Defense
Remarks: Easy access is mandatory as authorities will take a short time for registration.
Household Goods and Personal Effects
Required Documents: FOR A CITIZEN: (1) Spanish inventory legalized by Consulate at origin (2) Original OBL/AWB – visaed (3) Certificate of Residence issued by Consulate at origin showing that shipper has lived abroad for at least two years. FOR FOREIGNERS: (1) Legalized Spanish inventory (2) Original OBL/AWB (3) Either a Passport showing a permanent residence visa, or a Bank guarantee on customs value of shipment
Customs Regulations: Duty-free if shipper has lived abroad for at least two years. Shipment must arrive with 90 days of shipper’s arrival.
Remarks: Wedding gifts require a packing list, original AWB/OBL, and a visaed marriage certificate.
Importation of inherited goods require a packing list; original AWB/OBL; visaed proof of estate of inheritance; visaed Death Certificate Plants need a health certificate. Professional tools and machines require visaed Certificate of Profession (title, license, and diploma). Non-permanent resident may be required to make bank guarantee deposit, refundable when shipment leaves the country.
Pets and Animals
Required Documents: Health and vaccination certificate
Required Documents: (1) Original OBL/AWB (2) Original commercial invoice (3) Franchise must be obtained from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Customs Regulations: New cars may be imported upon payment of duty. Returning Uruguayan citizens may import one car if they have owned it for at least 3 years.
